This weekend I contacted all of the new parents I know (about 30 people) via e-mail or Facebook message and asked them to share there opinions on the following:
Now that you have had your baby/babies, what baby items have proven to be essential to your survival?
What items ended up being unused or useless?
What kind of stroller do you have? Do you have a car seat/stroller “travel system” or separate items?
I have already gotten lots and lots of responses (all of which I hope to compile into some sort of post in a week or so.) There is just so much STUFF out there for babies–it is hard for those of us who don’t have or yet have babies to figure out what is what.
Related to this baby STUFF business–I found a post on another blog (thanks WordPress Readomatic feature) by a first time dad, his new parent paranoia and how the baby STUFF industry preys on people just like him (and me). It is a little lengthy, but funny AND informative.
